Super Yaya
Super Yaya is the womenswear label of Rym Beydoun, a designer whose work grows directly out of a dual heritage: a Lebanese family that spent generations in West Africa, and a childhood in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. She trained in womenswear at Central Saint Martins in London and returned to Abidjan for hands-on apprenticeships — working alongside a local tailor and studying wax-print technique at the Uniwax factory — before founding Super Yaya in the mid-2010s.
The label is built on that meeting of worlds, blending Ivorian street style and wax-print culture with a Lebanese sense of refinement. Beydoun works between Beirut and Abidjan, sourcing textiles from local markets — much of it handpicked, hand-dyed and printed in Côte d'Ivoire before being finished in her Beirut atelier. The result is a wardrobe of bold, culturally grounded pieces that treat clothing as a living language rather than a trend.
