Based in Austin, Texas, Julie Spako hand-builds each ceramic piece from high-fire porcelain and stoneware, firing them to cone 10 (2350°F) in her home studio. Inspired by her grandmother’s Blue Willow collection and the intricate beauty of traditional embroidery patterns, she creates everyday objects that blend simple, functional forms with richly detailed, hand-drawn surface designs. Each piece reflects her deep appreciation for storytelling through utility and is food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
