About the Designer:

Trained as a high-end jewelry designer in New York City, Josette Patterson turned to ceramics as a way to reconnect with creativity during a period of burnout. What began as a break evolved into a second practice, eventually shaping her path as a multidisciplinary artist working in both jewelry and clay.

Her ceramic work draws on early experiences with pottery and deep study under master potters and sculptors. Using hand-built techniques—large coils, pinching, and paddling—she creates unglazed forms that emerge from the kiln like quiet, unearthed relics, shaped as much by fire as by hand.
